KEYHOLE GTAW TORCH - Release Imminent

This new torch has been designed specifically for use in the keyhole mode. Features include very low internal resistance, well-defined electrical and thermal pathways, excellent cooling, and expanded gas coverage. In addition, the torch has been designed to accept a range of trailing shields when the application requires. The torch can be adapted to run in the melt-in mode simply by changing the tungsten electrode and the contact tip. The standard package includes torch, spare shroud and contact tip, tungstens and gas and water lines.

KEYHOLE GTAW PACKAGE - Coming soon

Ultratig’s technology package is centred on its technology platform. This unit incorporates water cooler, and high voltage arc initiator, and integrates control of the other essential services: gas supply, welding power supply. Its PLC provides the versatility for either manual, automatic or remote control of the process. In addition it has been configured for easy upgrading for future developments such as automatic keyhole detection, and complete turn-key operation utilizing feedback control of the welding parameters. This unit together with one of the available torch packages is the recommended requirements for implementing the process.

TRAILING SHROUDS - Coming soon

Ultratig produces a range of trailing shrouds for both plate and pipe work. These shrouds are designed to be used withth Ultratig Keyhole Torch. Please contact Ultratig to discuss your requirements.

BACK-PURGE SYSTEMS - Coming soon

Ultratig is developing back-purge systems that integrate with the technology platforms. When correctly applied back-purging can dramatically improve root-bead characteristics and considerably expand the operating window of the process. Please not that standard back-purging techniques are not suitable for keyhole processes, and can result in unstable operation and weld defects.
